People that is. Now isn’t that a radical concept?
Or is it?
Consider this - ever heard of an iPhone? What about Apple?
The neighborhood coffee shop with that bagel that you just-must-have!
Do you know about GE? What about BMW? What abou the last few good movies you watched - how did you find out about them?
Granted, many of the brands you use and interact with have great salespeople and they DO have their roles and place in the greater scheme of things. The point I’m making though is that you have an opportunity to enhance your brand value, your sales, and yes … your profits, without increasing the number of salespeople you have.
The solution - word of mouth. Recommendation. Customer satisfaction. It takes many forms, but it essentially leverages on your ability to get other people to say nice things about you or your products without expectation of a fee.
Kind of like the difference between marketing and sales isn’t it?
Think about it - are you doing everything you can to encourage word of mouth marketing? If your brand already benefiting from it? If not - why not?
What other examples do you have of brands that have done a great job at creating sales without salespeople?
